Syracuse's Haunted Houses, Hayrides, Corn Mazes and More  
 
Looking for a new way to celebrate Halloween this year? There are plenty of attractions in the Syracuse area, frightening and festive alike.

Halloween in the Park - Long Branch Park, Liverpool
October 23 - 26 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm
"Mildly haunted" tractor and wagon hay rides, Boy Scout Troop 65’s Haunted House, and games including Punkin’ Chunkin’, The Great Pumpkin Hunt, and an original play entitled "The Story of the Jack O’ Lantern." Children four and under free, 5-18 yrs: $5, Adults $8

LaFayette Apple Festival - Deer Run Orchards Rt 11A, LaFayette
Saturday, Oct. 11, 9 am - 6 pm, Sunday Oct. 12, 9 am - 5 pm
Attractions include crafts, food vendors, a pie contest, a scarecrow contest, and apple king and apple queen contest. Apple pancake breakfast starting at 7am Saturday and Sunday (Must show $3 prefestival ticket or $4 entrance fee (free parking). $3 presale tickets may be purchased on or before October 10 at McDonalds in LaFayette.

Fall Festival Days - Abbott Farms, 3275 Cold Springs Rd., Baldwinsville
Saturdays and Sundays until Oct. 26
Plenty of food, treats, fun and games, including: mazes, super slide, face painting, hay rides, apple canon, cider-making demonstrations, and a bounce house.

Creepy Camp - High Esteem Camp Goodwill’s Campgrounds
Rt. 13 (Falls Blvd.), Chittenango
Starting Oct. 3rd, Fridays & Saturdays 7:30 pm - midnight; Sundays & Thursday, October 30, 7:30 pm - 10 pm
"Creepy Cabins", "Intensity" and "Zombie Zone"
Benefits will go to the adaptive programs of the High Esteem's Camp Goodwill for children and young adults with physical disabilities & of special needs. Creepy Camp's main attractions are strongly discouraged for children 10 & under, the faint of heart and those who are pregnant. 

Fall Harvest Festival - Critz Farms, 3232 Rippleton Road, Cazenovia
Monday - Friday 10 am - 5 pm; Saturday and Sunday 10 am - 6 pm
Attractions include an 8-acre corn maze, petting zoo, live music & entertainment, hay rides, apple picking, Hop House, and a train ride for kids. Admission charge is $6 per person on weekends (no more than $30 charge per car). Kids under 2 are free, and seniors are $4. Each paid admission includes a Season Pass.

Ghost Walk 2008: High Spirits in Clinton Square
Onondaga Historical Association, 321 Montgomery St., Syracuse
Oct. 3 & 4, 10 & 11; 6 pm - 8:30 pm. Groups leave the atrium every 15 minutes - tours last 90 minutes. “Syracusans from the past cross the barrier of time. Be a ghost walker and find out who they are!”
Pre-registration required. Advance sale $10 non-members, $8 members. After October 3 or at the door: $12 non-members, $10 members.

Zoo Boo - Rosamond Gifford Zoo at Burnet Park
October 17, 18, 24 & 25 from 6 pm - 8:30 pm
"Kooky not spooky" celebration for young children, including a hay bale maze, Zoo Boo’s Creepy Corners Crew and Scarecrow Alley!
Tickets are $5 per person at the door, ages 3 and up.

Dracula - Appleseed Productions, Atonement Stage, 116 West Glen Ave., Syracuse
October 24 - November 8, Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm
Experience the theatrical adaptation of Bram Stoker's Count Dracula, a blood-sucking vampire.
Adults: $15, Seniors & Students: $12
