Aerosmith Unveils Band's "Guitar Hero" Game
"Guitar Hero: Aerosmith" is now in stores. Billboard.com says band members were on hand for a special unveiling of the game at the Hard Rock Cafe in New York last Friday. During the event frontman Steven Tyler shared how band members worked with game creators for the animation process, noting it was difficult to make, quote, "this thing be all that Aerosmith is." But drummer Joey Kramer noted that developing the game got him to go back and listen to some of the group's older material, which sparked a new sense of pride in Aerosmith's catalog. Guitarist Joe Perry added that he believes "Guitar Hero" also highlights the way the music industry is changing. He predicted that the games will become significant in music distribution, and that they could become, quote, "as important as albums used to be." "Guitar Hero: Aerosmith" is the first game in the Activision series that focuses on a single band. It arrived in stores yesterday. |
