Nickelback Offer Racier Subject Matter On "Dark Horse"
Nickelback may be a music favorite, but the popular band is ready to push the envelope a little on their new album, "Dark Horse." Singer Chad Kroeger tells BBC News that there are some truly filthy subject matter with adult themes on the new disc. The vocalist goes on to say that it has become a challenge to take the traditional themes about love and put a new spin on them, so there are a few more tracks that tackle a little more raunchy subject matter. Kroeger says that he's beyond the point of caring what people think about the racier material, adding that he often gets asked what his mom thinks. The singer says after including a line in a song that started with "I like your pants around your feet," he soon found out what she thought and she was okay with it. Nickelback will go with the more politically correct "If Today Was Your Last Day" as the lead single off "Dark Horse."
