Mindy McCready Returning to Jail
Mindy McCready is heading back to jail. The singer's rep tells "People" magazine that the troubled singer will voluntarily surrender to authorities today to serve 60 days in a Tennessee jail for a probation violation. McCready was arrested in June for violating her probation on prescription drug fraud charges. She says in a statement, quote, "I am working very hard to put all of this behind me as quickly as possible so I can get back to what I like to do most: sing, write songs and entertain." Of late, McCready's run-ins with the law have made more headlines than her music. She entered rehab on July 16th for undisclosed reasons. McCready was jailed in 2007 for a probation violation stemming from a 2004 drug arrest. |
