Paul McCartney Goes For Electric Hattrick
Sir Paul McCartney is going electric for a third time. BBC News reports the legendary singer and ex-Beatle will release an album of electronic music under his pseudonym The Fireman. Teaming up with producer Youth, McCartney plans to release "Electric Arguments" in November. It contains a mix of musical styles and is his first disc release since "Memory Almost Full" came out last year under his real name. McCartney and Youth tried to keep their identity hush-hush when they released their first collaborative album back in 1993. Their names were leaked to the press before their follow-up album "Rushes" came out in 1998. One of the songs from "Electric Arguments" will be available for download to supporters of the Adopt-A-Minefield campaign.
News of McCartney's new album comes on the heels of his first-ever performance in Israel last Thursday. According to the "Jerusalem Post," the musician entertained a near-capacity crowd at his "Friendship First" show, performing for nearly two-and-a-half-hours for an audience of 50-thousand. |
