Frank Zappa Musical Hits The Stage
Frank Zappa's 30-year-old script is finally being put in the spotlight. Rollingstone.com reports the rocker's musical "Joe's Garage" debuted last Friday at Hollywood's Open Fist Theatre. Zappa's widow Gail tells "Rolling Stone" that the play contains everything that is relevant to these times. With many scenes of drug use and vulgarity, Gail says she never expected to see the play get off the ground. She says many people who were interested in producing the play in the past were worried about the bad language. "Joe's Garage" runs through November 22nd. |
