Kenny Chesney Working Late To Prepare For Album Release
Country superstar Kenny Chesney is working well past sunset to get ready for the October 14th release of his "Lucky Old Sun" album. He'll be up late on October 15th to perform on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." Chesney says, quote, "It wouldn't be an album launch without 'The Tonight Show.'" He believes his late night television appearance will be a great opportunity to close the gap between his successful summer "Poets and Pirates" tour and the album release, as well as bring some new music to his fans. The album's first single, "Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven," is already burning up the country charts. Chesney is backed by reggae legend Bob Marley's backup band The Wailers on the island-inspired tune. The reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, who is nominated for seven awards this year, describes the album as, quote, "a postcard of my life right now rather than a map of the places where I drink beer."
