Legendary Songwriter Hank Cochran Gets Good Medical News
The man behind some of country music's biggest hits recently got some good news from his doctor. Hank Cochran was given an "all clear" after a recent CT scan. The legendary songwriter was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and underwent surgery in July. In a statement, Cochran said, quote, "This was the best news we could hope for." He begins a round of chemotherapy today and says the prayers and support of his many friends and fans are what kept him going. Cochran penned such legendary hits as "Make the World Go Away", "I Fall to Pieces", "Don't You Ever Get Tired of Hurting Me", "The Chair" and "Miami, My Amy." His songs have been recorded by Eddy Arnold, Elvis, Merle Haggard, Keith Whitley, George Strait, Willie Nelson, Ray Price, Lee Ann Womack, Linda Ronstadt and many others.
