Former Pink Floyd Manager Passes Away
The classic rock world is suffering another loss with the passing of former Pink Floyd manager Bryan Morrison. According to NME.com, Morrison died on Friday, two years after he slipped into a coma due to injuries suffered in a polo game. He reportedly contracted an infection that led to his death. Morrison is best known for helping Pink Floyd put on shows in their early years, and later became their manager. One particular incident made headlines when Pink Floyd guitarist Syd Barrett reportedly bit Morrison's finger after Barrett claimed he hadn't received a royalty cheque. Morrison was also a noted music publisher for other big names such as The Pretty Things, T-Rex, The Bee Gees and Wham! Morrison's death comes less than two weeks after Pink Floyd keyboardist Rick Wright lost his battle with cancer. |
