Janet Jackson Postpones Concert Dates Due To Illness
Janet Jackson is postponing two concert dates this week after a brief hospital stay in Montreal on Monday. Jackson was rushed to the hospital after suddenly falling ill during a sound check just minutes before her scheduled performance in the Canadian city. She was discharged from the hospital two hours later. Jackson's reps have declined to give further information about the singer's illness, but say it will force her to postpone her scheduled tour stops in Boston on Wednesday and in Philadelphia on Thursday. The singer is recuperating and is expected to resume her Rock Witchu tour in Greensboro, North Carolina on Saturday.
This is the second reported hospitalization for Jackson in recent months. The singer had to spend a few days in the hospital during a bout with the flu in March. The health setback forced Jackson to cancel an appearance on NBC's "Saturday Night Live." |
