Lohan Lawyers Seek Dismissal Of Fraud Claim
Lawyers for Lindsay Lohan are seeking have a fraud claim against the actress dismissed. E! News says Lohan's attorneys have filed papers requesting that the judge dismiss a portion of the lawsuit filed by Lohan's former bodyguard David Kim. In the original lawsuit filed in April, Kim claims Lohan breached a contract agreement and defrauded him. He says the actress owes him more than 55-thousand-dollars for services rendered during the six months he worked for her, ending in March 2007. Lohan's attorneys say there is no evidence that the actress cheated the bodyguard out of any payments and want the fraud claim thrown out. A hearing on the motion has been set for November 5th.
The judge is also weighing wether to fine Kim and his attorneys for failing to show up at Tuesday's court hearing on the matter. A hearing on possible fines for his no-show has been scheduled for October 28th. |
