Britney Spears' Lawyers Try Dodge Misdemeanor Trial Again
Britney Spears' lawyers are trying to get the pop princess out of her misdemeanor driving charges yet again. E! Online reports Michael Flanagan filed documents in Los Angeles County Superior Court Monday requesting a stay in the proceedings because Spears remains under the control of a conservatorship. Flanagan maintains that Spears' charges should have been fixed with a simple ten-dollar fee and she is being legally attacked because of her star status. Spears' charges surround a 2007 incident where she hit a parked car and drove away in California. An investigation revealed she didn't have a California drivers license at the time, only a Louisiana one.
