Kenny Chesney Plays to One Million Plus Fans for Seventh-Straight Year
There's no such thing as cutting back when it comes to Kenny Chesney's summer touring schedule. Even when the leading CMA nominee tried to scale back his road trip, he still managed to play to more than one-million fans for the seventh-consecutive year. Chesney says the recently-wrapped "Poets and Pirates" tour was a home run.
Chesney notes that when it comes to planning his summer shows, he tries to think in terms of what he'd like to see, because he's also a fan. This summer, Chesney's faithful were treated with everything from surprise guests Uncle Cracker and Rock 'n Roll Hall of Famer Steve Miller to a computer-animated pirate ship and talking skull introduction. Even though Chesney's summer tour is over, fans can look forward to his upcoming new album. "Lucky Old Sun" is due in stores on October 14th. He'll also be performing on the November 12th CMA Awards Show. |
