Oasis Digs Out Their Toy Chest
Oasis continues to build upon their sound as the years pass, and their new album "Dig Out Your Soul" finds them adding some new instruments. Guitarist Noel Gallagher says one of the better stories is the fact that they used a sitar that wasn't exactly top of the line on the song "To Be Where There's Life." The guitarist says in a new documentary on the making of the record that the sitar is actually a plastic toy electric one that they got for 12 pounds or about 21 dollars. Gallagher says he found it kind of funny that they brought out the toy to utilize in The Beatles echo chamber room at London's Abbey Road studios. |
