Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood to Host "Country Music's Biggest Night"
"Country Music's Biggest Night" just got even bigger. Reigning Male and Female Vocalists of the Year Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood have been announced as hosts for the 42nd annual CMA Awards. In addition to their hosting duties, Paisley and Underwood are both slated to perform on the show. Previously, Paisley was asked if he would like to host the CMAs.
Underwood is equally excited about getting to host a show she grew up watching. She says, quote, "I'm so thrilled to spend this night with Brad and the fans." Underwood adds that it's going to be a party. She and Paisley toured together in 2006 and recorded the duet "Oh Love" for Paisley's most recent "5th Gear" album. Paisley is nominated for four awards at this year's CMA's, including Entertainer, Male Vocalist, Song and Music Video of the Year. Underwood received two CMA nods. She's up for Female Vocalist and Album of the Year for her sophomore release "Carnival Ride." The 42nd annual CMA Awards will air live November 12th on ABC. |
