Big Names Kick Off Grand Ole Opry Birthday Month
Opry Month kicks off with performances this weekend from some of country music's biggest names. Wynona, Josh Turner, Sara, Evens, Jimmy Wayne, Marty Stuart, Eric Church and Lee Greenwood are among the artists scheduled to perform on the Grand Ole Opry. The world's longest-running radio show celebrates 83 years on the air with a birthday extravaganza next weekend. A milestone like that is too big for just one weekend, thus the designation of October as Opry Month. In addition to this weekend's star-studded lineup, other artists scheduled to perform this month include Kenny Rogers, Lorre Morgan, Kellie Pickler, Montgomery Gentry, Lady Antebellum, Tracy Byrd, Tracy Lawrence, Luke Bryan, Emerson Drive, Rodney Atkins, and Chuck Wicks. Craig Morgan's October 25th induction into the Grand Ole Opry caps off the month's worth of festivities. |
