ASCAP to Honor Reba
Country superstar Reba McEntire will be honored with the prestigious ASCAP Golden Note Award later this month. The spunky redhead has sold more than 55 million records and racked up an astounding 31 Number One hits, including "Can't Even Get the Blues", "Little Rock", "Whoever's In New England" and "Does He Love You" with fellow vocal powerhouse Linda Davis. ASCAP Senior Vice President Connie Bradley calls Reba one of the greatest singers ever in country music. Even though she's had a hit television series and Broadway musical, Bradley says she has always stated Reba and has always stayed true to country music. Past ASCAP Golden Note winners include Stevie Wonder, Garth Brooks, Quincy Jones and Michael W. Smith.
