The Boss To Play For Obama
Musician Bruce Springsteen will perform on Ohio State's campus Sunday as part of a rally for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. Springsteen will perform an acoustic set on OSU's Main Oval. Gates will open Sunday at 3 with the performance by Springsteen to begin at 4:30. The rally will take place one day before Ohio's voter registration deadline. Springsteen made a similar appearance in 2004 for then Democratic nominee John Kerry. He will also team up with Billy Joel for another Obama-related event in New York City on October 16th. Springsteen and Joel will co-headline their first-ever joint concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The concert will serve as a fundraiser for the Obama presidential campaign. |
