Gallagher Still Feels The Pain
Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher is getting ready for the band's UK trek, but admits he's still feeling pain from rib injuries suffered in an attack on stage last month. He tells England's "Absolute Radio," quote, "I'm on a lot of painkillers at the moment. The trouble with painkillers is they're only fun when you're not meant to be on them. When you're actually in pain they just take the edge off it." Gallagher says doctors informed him that at his age, they expect it to take another four weeks to heal. The guitarist says he has been rehearsing, so that lets him know he should be able to perform on the tour. He may be in pain, but Gallagher is still able to lash out at a fellow British band. The musician is hitting out at Keane vocalist Tom Chaplin after the singer spoke about recording outside of his comfort zone in a recent interview. In response Gallagher says it doesn't matter whether Keane is comfortable or uncomfortable, they still won't be able to make a good album. Gallagher has targeted the band in the past, going so far as to call Chaplin "a posh lightweight" after his spell in rehab.
