Red Hot Chili Peppers' frontman Anthony Kiedis is taking his talent from the stage to the television. According to "Variety," Kiedis and HBO have reached a deal that will have the rocker developing a series based on his childhood. Marc Abrams and Michael Benson will be partnering with Kiedis to create the series which is tentatively titled "Scar Tissue." The show will be set in the 1970s and center around Kiedis' relationship with his father Spider who Kiedis says sold drugs while mingling with rock stars in the showbiz scene. Kiedis, who is communicating with his father to record some of their memories, spoke about working on the show saying, quote, "For us to be reconnecting to construct these memories - the women and the rock bands and the doormen of these clubs - is exciting." |
