John Rich Sued Over Hotel Fight
Big & Rich's John Rich is getting sued over a bloody hotel brawl that took place last month. The fight reportedly broke out in Rich's room at the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles after the singer got into an argument with two men. One of those men, Jerry Montano, claims the country star swung a beer bottle and hit him in the face, and TMZ.com says Montano has filed a lawsuit in the matter. In his court documents, which were filed in L.A. County Superior Court Monday, Montano admits he was warned by Rich's business manager that the singer can get, quote, "extremely violent when drunk," but Montano still chose to join Rich in his room. A woman was said to be at the root of the argument, over which Montano says Rich grew, quote, "increasingly violent and belligerent." After the fight Montano refused to press charges. In his suit he's seeking monetary damages for, quote, "cuts, scrapes, permanent scarring, swelling, and bruising to his lips, jaw, face, teeth and nose." |
