Rod Stewart To Give A Performance Fit For A Prince
Rod Stewart is giving Britain's Prince Charles a very expensive present. The UK's "Independent" says the classic rocker will sing for the heir to the throne at his 60th birthday party this weekend, and he's not charging the royal family a dime for the performance. Stewart's fee for a private show typically runs more than one-point-seven-million-dollars. The former Faces frontman is a longtime friend of Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, and he's an ambassador for the Prince's Trust. Stewart's set is expected to include the hits "You Wear It Well" and "Maggie May." But the singer was reportedly asked not to perform his 1979 chart-topper "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy," supposedly because the song was deemed too raucous for the occasion. Prince Charles' birthday is today. He has been celebrating with different events all week. The party featuring a set from Stewart will take place at Charles and Camilla's home at Highgrove, Gloucestershire on Saturday.
