Davy Jones Has "No Problem" Delivering Vintage Songs In Concert
Davy Jones says he has "no problem" including the hits from his Monkees days in his concerts. The veteran actor and singer tells the Long Beach, California "Press-Telegram" that his shows typically include "lots" of Monkees material, and there are two primary reasons for that. He notes that those tunes "span eras," explaining that at his concerts there are, quote, "younger children who are discovering these songs for the first time," while he has "enthusiastic fans of all ages." Comparing his situation to Tony Bennett, Jones says just as the legendary crooner "had no problem" singing his signature hit, "I Left My Heart In San Francisco" at every show, he doesn't mind performing his best known and most loved material. Fans in Illinois will be treated to Jones' hits in concert this weekend. He'll be taking the stage in St. Charles on Saturday.
