Cheng's Mother Salutes Little Victories
Chi Cheng's mother Jeanne is seeing small victories as the bassist recovers from a car accident that left him in a coma. Jeanne says in her latest posting that several probes attached to his brain to monitor and control his activity are now being removed. Cheng's mother then posted lyrics to Joan Baez's "No Man Is An Island" as an intro to her latest good deed. She says, quote, "I've never felt more loved and connected to this extended family that is keeping us in prayer. Today please reflect on our connectedness and how we are all family. Everyone you meet is your sister, your brother, your daughter or your son. Some of them are just the family you haven't met yet. Today would you please smile at a stranger? Maybe say, 'Have a great day.' If someone is looking sad or is short tempered with you, they probably need this all the more." |
