Papa Roach Plots Classic Album
Papa Roach has some songs that are standing the tests of time, but the group wants a full album of those tracks. Singer Jacoby Shaddix tells AlternativeAddiction.com that they are ready to release their "classic" album. He says, quote, "Our goal for this new record was to make the rock record of the decade...We were listening to all the classic records going, 'We want to make a record of this caliber.' That was our intention, was to make the best record that we could ever make." The vocalist cites Guns N' Roses' "Appetite For Destruction," Pink Floyd's "The Wall," and much of AC/DC's catalog as prime listening material while making the new disc. Shaddix says he's more interested in the whole album experience than coming up with a few good singles, and he thinks "Metamorphosis" is a disc that fits the bill. An early 2009 release is expected. |
