Smashing Pumpkins Planning Record Store Day Release
The first EP in the Smashing Pumpkins' "Teagarden By Kaleidyscope" project will surface as part of the Record Store Day festivities. "The Pulse Of Radio" reports that titled "Teagarden By Kaleidyscope Vol. 1: Songs For A Sailor" will feature four tracks, including the already unveiled songs "A Song For A Son," "Widow Wake My Mind," and "A Stitch In Time." Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan says in a statement at the Record Store Day website, quote, "I used to work at an indie record shop, so I'll always have a soft spot for the places where I still go to find the most vital music, whether new or still hidden." Fans who pre-order "Teagarden By Kaleidyscope Vol. 1: Songs For A Sailor" through participating Record Store Day stores will also receive a limited edition Smashing Pumpkins blacklight poster while supplies last.
In addition, The Smashing Pumpkins will perform at the Amoeba Records Los Angeles location on Record Store Day, which is coming up on April 17th. The first 250 fans who preorder the EP at the store will receive a special wristband for entry to the performance. |
