Former "Britain's Got Talent" Contestant Sues Simon Cowell
A one-time "Britain's Got Talent" hopeful is suing judge Simon Cowell over an audition experience she says was humiliating. According to the "Daily Mail," Emma Amelia Czikai says in her lawsuit that Cowell and his fellow judges, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan, mocked her after she didn't pass her audition last year. The 54-year-old is filing a lawsuit through a British employment tribunal for the equivalent of three-point-eight-million-dollars, saying she was ridiculed in front of an audience of 20-million. She appeared last Wednesday at a hearing where she said she was the victim of disability discrimination because the talent show hadn't made adjustments for her personal needs. She claims "Britain's Got Talent" left the music and microphone levels too loud for her so that she couldn't hear her own voice. Czikai unsuccessfully tackled the Josh Groban song, "You Raise Me Up" during her May 2009 audition. She complained about sound levels at the time. Cowell told her, quote, "It's not loud enough, Emma, Emma, reality check here. It's not the music, it's not the microphone, it's you."
